Message in a Bottle.
I walked to the beach late yesterday.
Watching a bottle floating my way.
I wondered if it had your message inside.
Slowly drifting coming in with the tide.
Nature was still on that winter’s day.
If that was your message what did it say?
How far I wondered can a bottle go?
How long that takes, I may never know.
It drifted along and went under the pier.
Every so often it would disappear.
And as the sun set down under the sea.
I knew that message wasn’t for me.
I have no number, no way to phone.
Now I’m sending a message of my own.
And to give your heart a little jog.
I’ll send my message in this blog.
Wherever you are I’m looking for you.
Tell me where that is, give me a clue.
Jim Raab.
